FrownBefore the engine & transmission fluid warm up, reverse works acceptably well. Thirty minutes of driving in the summer & B A M , don't plan on using reverse to back up with out your foot out the door on the ground pulling a Flinstone reverse w/ foot manuver. Hopefully thinking changing the fluid & the filter might work, I did so. Ha, not this time. Will adding bleach to the transmission "swell " the reverse belt allowing reverse to function in my daily driving ventures ?

The tranny is fried. Everything your doing now is just increasing the damage and repair costs.

Will adding bleach to the transmission "swell " the reverse belt allowing reverse to function in my daily driving ventures ?Where did you hear that? They don't sell bleach at the parts stores for a reason. It has no place in any system of a vehicle. HT is right, the trans is junk. Whoever told you about putting bleach in a trans is probably a pedestrian, and for good reason. I wouldn't take any more advice from that guy unless you enjoy walking too.
