93 f150 no 3rd gear

I have a 93 f150 with a straight 6 and a manual transmission and for some reason 3rd gear isn't working when I go into 3rd gear it just acts like its not in gear it has 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and overdrive please help it is killing my gas mileage jumping from 2nd to 4th

Looks like the transmission may have to come apart. Inspection of the shift rails, forks, third gear train should reveal what happened and what needs to be done.
