                                                            I have 2 issues:

The 1st issue is the tranny doesnt seem to shift rite idk im not sure tho but i can put it in 1st and 2nd it seems to stay in a lower gear i can put it in D or OD it shifts it drives fine and all but i was wondering why it did this we couldnt seem to find the VSS on the tranny at all we looked and look but we know it takes a sensor thought it was on the stalk of the tranny but there isnt a stalk theres a differential there but just wondering on this thanxs.

the 2nd issue is yesterday i was driving and the 4WD accedentaly got hit and went into 4WD it acted weird and kept pulling hard to the rite the front wheel that spins and i turned the 4WD off and it didnt seem to pull as hard but still pulled hard and the steering wheel was almost turned bout 120 degrees to stay straight but i drove it home and as i slowed down I could hear it clicking over and over idk why tho so when i got home told dad bout it and he went to drive it... and it drove just like normal how could this be??? thanxs.....

1st issue: Not sure what you mean?? You said it's fine in 1st and 2nd but hangs to lower longer - right? And fine again in D or OD?? So what's the issue? Maybe a throttle position cable if used is out of whack/adjustment.

2nd issue: Not good of course to engage 4WD at any speed - some require being still - don't know what setup you have but either way this sudden off center steering wheel is dangerous IMO. A brake could stick and make car pull hard but that wheel would ge smoking hot fairly quickly if enough to affect steering.

The steering suddenly being off suggest to me a weak front end part (about any to do with controllng position of the wheels) has taken a hit or bent or worn out fast from the trauma. That needs to be addressed asap!

1st issue: basically has to gears is not the rite tranny on it has been in wreck b4 tho so thats my guess they just put a diff tranny they had in it nut it drive just has 2 gear 1st and 2nd equal one gear as in 1st gear D and OD equal OD odd tho

2nd issue had ball joints replaced with a worn tierod and alignment.... well it was off by 4 points ALOT!!! i know but b4 the alignment amd all it drove fine in 4WD tho but now it doesnt and i did drive with it in 4wd for a whicle and i did notice some but fairly hardly any smoke coming from the right tire

Re: 94 S10 Blazer 4WD Sign In

First issue: Trans either has to be exact right one or if possible all the parts swapped from the old one that are pertinent. Sound like a mess and possibly needs yet another!

Second issue: You don't drive most S-10s in 4WD for longer than exactly needed - they would NORMALLY drive funky and not good for it. It's not differentiated to be an All Wheel Drive - or is this one??

Needing all those front end parts simply means the joints weren't greased! Someones fault. I've seen them last near 200K without troubles but a PITA to grease - every 3 months without regard to miles.

Brake smoking - bet is on stuck parking brake cable or other hardware issues. Seal leaking or frozen wheel cylinder,

Re: 94 S10 Blazer 4WD Sign In

1st: we were guessing that it was the wrong tranny couldnt find the sensor on it guessing has a cable but i need one with a sensor but as long as it drives im happy but still seems like a mess:(

2nd: drives fine in 2wd but i had it in 4wd b4 the joints and tie rod was replaced by repair shop and ran fine ??? but could this be the alignment was 4 points off and was never fixed and the 4wd was fixed that way but since it was nock back to its 4 points to the right way it did this could it be that it needs re located or like moved or something since the frame was bent back car has been in a wreck kinda guessing with the tail gate dented in and all with the tranny and cracked windsheild and all ???

Sport - you aren't even sure it's the right tranny so that's a mess right away!

More: What's with the 4WD? Why are you even using it? I can plow snow in one of these and only need it when nasty. It isn't for use for more than a few seconds when absolutely necessary. If off roading and rock climbing with this thing you are on your own!
