car slips in od only and ck engine light on pulled code p0741 torque converter clutch perfomance/turned off is there a simple fix other than replacing trans

sounds like it will be cheaper to repair...won't know until its checked out by a trans tech/shop...
auto zone has a deal with aamco shops,they will give you a free diagnostic check to determine the extent of the problem.just tell 'em your an autozone customer..here in illinois we have to make an appt first ..
they won't of course disassemble to inspect for free,but they will give you an idea of what price you may be loking at.
