99 ford 4R100 problems-----REWIND GEAR

99 ford f350 4x4 ext cab 7.3L 203.509 miles .drive works fine, fluid level ok, not burnt medium brownish color, no metal does not slip at all in drive REVERSE IS PROBLEM. SLIPS ABOVE IDLE. WILL NOT PULL IN REV. UP ANY AMOUNT OF INCLINE WHILE IN 2H 4H OR 4L REVERSE WORKS NORMAL. NOTHING CAN STOP IT FROM PULLIN IN REVERSE KOEO AND KOER BOTH DO NOT HAVE ANY DTC'S PRESSURE READINGS ARE IN SPECS AND CONSISTANT ANY IDEA? THANKS, miles mckeown

yes it moves in all ranges. reverse slips in 2h above idle 4low or 4high all ranges are normal

Possible problems: Seals or piston damaged Clutch worn, missing, misassembled or damaged Check ball not seating Cylinder assembly outer diameter/case bore damaged, leaking Would help if you can get codes pulled too. There more then likely is codes stored in it if it's slipping.

HAVE RAN DIAG NUMEROUS TIMES FROM KOEO, KOER, GLOBAL, TCM ONLY AND NO CODES, NO KAM, HISTORY, ANYTHING, ' REALLY DONT WANNA TEAR ALL THE WAY DOEN,OWNER HAS CANCER, KEMO, AND LOW CASH FLOW. FAM WASNTS TRUCK TO BURY HIM IN..........................QUICK FIX???

Take pan off check the check ball make sure its not plugged.. if it's not that then i think your into a transmission.. the piston can be removed from the side cap and inspected. if the break band is burnt then your screwed.
