Hi,
I have an Audi A3 2012 1.4 Stronic. Recently when I got in to my car started it and it refused to move out of park. I got a mechanic over and he said its the ECU got
it tested and the results were fine. Now when I start the car the I can move the gears to reserve drive etc but the car does not move what could be the fault. Another thing I noticed is that
when I turn my ignition to the 1st click and I go to the engine I hear a buzzing noise/sound coming from inside or close to the gearbox . I also notice a slight leak from the gearbox around the mechatronic side.

Has anyone inspected the ATF fluid level and condition?
Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Has anyone check the sir clip hasn't broken off the 2 CV joints holding the drive train in place.

Hi,
Thank you for your response No one has check the ATF as yet I have since spoken to the Guy at Bosch Service and he advise me to bring it in for a
Gear oil service even tough he is not convinced that it will solve my problem. I did also last night try and check the ATF level but my Audi does not have
a dip stick to check the level. With you be able to advise me i am able to do this or should it be done by a mechanic. Also i notice when i switch my can on the
P D R N S is flicking on my dash.

hi,
No i have not checked to see if the sir clips have broken off can this stop the car from moving. Can i check this myself if so please
can you advise me and I will do so.

The flashing shift indicator indicates that there are stored trouble codes in the TCM. You need to have those codes read with a professional scan tool, not a generic code reader.

Hi So just an update,
my car went in this week and I just got a call to say its the mechatronics that needs to be replaced.
