Audi A3 clutch problem

Audi A3 2010 1.6, 77 kW, 5 gears. My clutch stops 2 centimeters from the floor when I squeeze it, and then somehow forcefully goes to the floor. Immediately afterwards, I had the problem that the clutch pedal did not return to its initial position, but remained 5-6 centimeters from the floor. This happened for 2 days, and when I went to the mechanic, I had no problems with the clutch pedal that day. The mechanic told me to come when the problems appear again. There is no DOT 4 oil leaking under the hydraulic cylinders. The oil pan is in good condition. What could be the problem. This makes the car unsafe to drive. What should I change?

It sounds like you just need to do what the shop advised. The binding problem could be coming from anywhere and he needs to track it down when it's occurring. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
