2001 Buick LeSabre, 65,000 miles. This happens mainly in warm weather. After travelling at highway speeds for a while, when I slow down, (like for a yellow light or to turn a corner), then speed up again, a high-pitched buzzing sound comes from the transmission as it is shifting. Sometimes when I accelerate from a stop, I hear the buzz as the transmission is shifting. It seems that, when this buzzing is going on, the shift is delayed a bit. Except for the buzz, or whine, I don't notice any rough shifting. I haven't been able to get it to buzz by manually shifting with the gear-shift lever. Thanks, Muggs

It doesn't look like anyone was planning to answer my post, but if there was, you can forget it. I traded the car off today. Muggs

Sorry for the delay. Hard to say with this type thing and if fluid was full this was probably real trouble. Good luck with the new car, T

Thanks mubarakabbas and Tom Greenleaf, I agree that the noise was
probably the beginning of something bad......and expensive to fix.
That's why I went back to Toyota. No problems there. Now I have a GM
service manual on DVD that is of no use to me. Oh well.....Muggs
