The transmission recently went out on my mini van. With all the miles on it I can't justify replacing it with a rebuilt or remanufactured tranmission. So, I am tossing around the idea of a used transmission as they are 1/4 the cost and if I can get another 30,000 to 50,000 miles out of the vehicle I'll be happy about the usage I've gotten out of it for the last 15 years.
My question is: Will a transmission from a 2004 Pacifica AWD work in my 1999 Town & Country AWD?

That is a question to put to the junkyard. They have special interchange books that answer that question. The rest of us don't have access to them.
My wild guess would be the newer trans will be electronically different.
