Driving w/o 2nd - 4th gear Sign In

I bought an 04 Escalade (4L65E trans) (253,000miles) that had previously "lost" 2nd & 4th gear. I drove around like that for a year but now it has lost 3rd as well.
So now I have only 1st and reverse.
😳
I need to take it 20 miles to finally get this transmission repaired or replaced. I'm thinking I can drive it slow as long as I stay below 20mph / 3100 rpm so as not to cause any more damage.
But some suggest it's best to spend the $100 or so for the towing.
🤔
What thinkest Thou?

You're probably going to do more damage driving it.

Definitely should tow it.

You're probably right. This seems to be the consensus.
Not only that, I'll need a ride home and Uber will cost me over $30.
