why does my transmission/engine jerk forward when slowing down? It seems like it jerks when it going from 2nd-1st gear. Some have told me my transmission is slipping, others just tell me its a worn belt. Another guy mentioned changing the transmission Fluid & trans oil. Its an automatic by the way. 93 dodge dynasty. 3.3

Trans does not work off a belt! Changing the fluid and filter may help and may even fix it but it's a crap shoot, T Ps: If fluid looks burned it's probably "game over"

What would be causing the jerking then?

In seven words you expect the web to solve your problem. Have you tried anything suggested? I think NOT! You'll get thru this best by going to a shop that specializes in transmissions, T
