Gear shifting problem Sign In

I am new to this forum
and need help badly
my car is mitsubishi GALANT 97
from couple of months I was filling jurk in my car when it shift the gear.
last month, there was cranking noise from the belt.
So, I showed to mechanic, and he changed the pully i guess.
Problem solved for some time.
Last week, we had bad weather.
So then, when I start my car and put to drive.
I fill gear shifting
But after 1-2 it stucks, not quit sure 2 or 3 but speeds up to 35 mile
and then rpm keeps on increasing,
but car won't take speed, every thing looks ok.
I tried to put in low gear (2), car takes speed but
driving in low gear is not good ideal

Help me guys.
Thanks

Doesn't sound good for that transmission. What color is the fluid now? If burnt looking plan on an overhaul,
