I have a 2006 Honda Civic Automatic w/ 111,000 miles. A couple weeks ago my car started shaking when I first turn it on and while it was in park and made a quick rumbling noise. The past couple days it has started shaking a considerable amount when I press the gas and let off of the gas. The RPMs go higher but it has no problem shifting. I hear the noise all the time now and it shakes constantly. I am taking it today to a mechanic but I would like to know what I am getting myself into. PLLEEAASSEE Tell me I won't need a new transmission!! =] but is there anything else it could be??

This is wide open to possibilities from a loose spark plug to a belt driven item with a bearing problem. Happy to help but I wouldn't delay getting it diagnosed asap as it may greatly minimize the problems possible, T
