I did an engine/transmission transplant from my 93 lumina with a 3.1 to my 92, in doing so i learned that GM began putting the 4T60-E on the luminas in 93, 92 and older used the 4T60 transmission which used an anolog cable to gauge engine rpm and delay shifting. The 4T60-E uses an electronic sensor rather than the cable. If your going to do a tranny transplant, youll need to use the same engine it was originally attached to.
