1999 Chrysler Town & Country LXi AWD 3.8L 130,000 I am in the process of installing my remanufactured 41TE trans back in. I am now to the attaching the torque converter to the drive plate procedure. I have one bolt in the plate and trying to turn the motor clockwise to install the other three bolts. For some reason the motor is not turning. I have already snapped a Craftsman socket trying to turn the crank. I know it should not be this hard to turn it as it was not this difficult when I was removing the old trans. What is happening?

The torque converter hub is not all the way in the pump lugs and you have it bound up. You have to unbolt the transmission from the engine and then engage the converter all the way into the transmission. You did flush out the transmission cooler? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
