Need help on changing the clutch.

Ok so its my first time attempting to change a clutch in my car (cause I can't afford to pay someone to do it). I've done lots of research and gonad do more before I actually attempt it and I also have the help of 2 Automotive mechanics book (each about 1" thick) to help me, and I'm pretty confident I know the steps of doing this.
Where I'm stuck is the torque ratings for the bolts? I can't find a service/workshop manual for my car (1997 Toyota Corolla Levin BZ-G). Whats the side effects of just tightening them up normally?
What should I do? or does anyone know where I can get this info?
What do other people do when they DIY clutch changes?

This is a front wheel drive car. What are you planning to use to support the transaxle and the engine?

Some floor jacks and a engine crain and chain if need be.

I would abort that mission if that is all you have for equipment. That transaxle is not balanced at all and is heavily weighted on one side and without an adjustable transmission jack that the transaxle can be strapped to, someone is going to get hurt, not to mention the frustration you'll see trying to get it lined up to go back in.

what if I borrow a transmission jack from somewhere? cause my clutch needs changing but I really can't afford to pay someone to do it cause it'll cost me over twice as much and as I'm a student saving few hundred more is pretty hard.
or any other suggestions?

I still think your biting off more than your bargaining for but as far as torque is concerned, it's not a big issue as long as you understand how much any given size bolt can handle before breaking or stripping.
