2000 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN 65000 MI DOES ANYONE KNOW IF YOU CAN USE SEALANT ON A A604/41TE SOLENOID PACK THAT IS LEAKING? IS IT A DIFFICULT JOB TO TAKE THE SOLENOID OFF?ANY ADVICE OR THINGS I NEED TO LOOK OUT FOR WHEN REPAIRING THE LEAK? THE VAN RUNS GOOD ALTHOUGH THE TRANS IS LEAKING AROUND THE SOLENOID PACK,BETWEEN THE PACK AND THE TRANS,AND THE PACK ITSELF.

Do not use silicone unless the factory repair manual says to. If you do and a chunk of dried silicone gets inside places it shouldn't be, it's clog city. Research gaskets and 0-rings. Silicone is usually a costly fix in the long run in a lot of situations. Steve
