Stick Shifter Shifts...But Car Won't Move.

For some reason my car won't budge when I shift it into gear (manual). The engine revs, but I don't feel any power going to the trans. When my car is off I can feel the shifter go into gear, but when it's on, no matter what gear I put it in including reverse, my car won't move. My car is a Honda Prelude 2.0SI 1988. It's got nearly 100,000 miles on it (97,000 I think). I was driving on the highway and was coming to an intersection that had just turned green so I was slowing down waiting for the traffic to start going; I had shifted the car into second. When traffic started speeding up, I went to shift into third and nothing happened. I didn't hear any unusual sound, but for some reason the car just revved as if it was in neutral. Can someone please help me figure out what's wrong with my car? Thanks.

Hello, Well if your shifter feels ok, check your axles make sure there not broken, if that looks ok, you may have to pull this trans out, check the clutch if the clutch looks ok, the trans will have to be open to see what broke. Gary
