Patrick; Yes. There is a vacuum hose that runs from the intake manifold to the vacuum modulator that is mounted at the rear of the transmission. If you pull the vacuum line off of the modulator and there is fluid present, the modulator needs to be replaced. Very easy. Just watch for the small rod that may come out with the modulator. Be sure to put it back in. Loren SW Washington

I wouldn't expect it to stay that way. As Loren pointed out, your going to have to replace the valve. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

>>Found out also I'am not as small as I was when I was a teen<< LOL...My wife always reminds me of that. Hey, it took me 57 years to grow this belly! Thanks for taking the time to reply. Glad to hear you got 'er. If that vacuum line had any fluid present or felt kinda 'mushy', you'll end up having to replace the modulator. But, all it takes is a backfire to blow vacuum lines off. Good luck and have a great week. Loren SW Washington

I misread his response. I thought he said he pulled it off and put it back on. If you found it with the line off, then your probably fixed.
