Tramission not shifting out of low gear

I have a 1994 Chevy Silverado CK/1500 4 wheel drive pickup. It has the 5.0L (350) motor and is the extended cab. The automatic transmission has been working fine, then about 3 days ago it hung up shifting into 3rd gear. I let off the gas and it shifted and gave me no more problems. Then yesterday all of a sudden the truck will not shift out of low gear. I have had people tell me it could be solenoids in the transmission, a modulator with a bad vacuum hose, but I am not sure if this one has the modulator or if it is electronic controlled. I could really use some expert advice. I need to try and solve this myself because of the cost to take it to a shop. any suggestions will be very helpful. Thank you

5.0L is a 305ci. 5.7L is a 350ci. It would be nice if you could scan the PCM to see if there are any tranny codes. That's a switch off year, so you need a special scan tool. There's no vacuum modulator or tv cable on a 4L60E. Line pressure is controlled by a pressure control solenoid. Do you know which gear it is stuck in when you go into drive? Default gear is 2nd on the 4L60E. If it defaulted, the first thing you should do is unplug the electrical connector at the transmission and check for ignition voltage(key on) on the pink wire. Seen a lot of those with bad ignition switches causing the transmission to lose power. No power to solenoids no shifts. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

It is stuck in 2nd. I purchased the 2-3 and 3-4 shift solenoids today and plan on putting them in tomorrow. However the guy at the parts store told me the 1-2 and 3-4 are the same. I am pretty sure the 1-2 and 2-3 are at the rear of the transmission, but I don't know where the 3-4 is and I can't find anything that tells me where it is. If you can help with that< I would be grateful. As you can tell, I am not a mechanic. I can do some repairs, but nothing major. I don't have much money and I need to try to fix this myself. need to get it running so I can go to work. If this doesn't work then I will have no choice but to take it to a shop. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Before you go yanking the pan off, check for power (12V) at the transmission electrical plug at the pink wire with the ignition on. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
