Trans Pump Sleeve Spun and Pressed onto Torque Converter Sign In

Looking for some advice here... recently had a bad rear seal on oil tank on my 2014 Jetta. Took it to VW dealer to replace. They called the next day and said my tranny was shot. Argued with them for a while but had a hole where my tranny used to be, and needed my car back. They sold me a junkyard tranny, installed, for $700. Service report said Trans Pump Sleeve Spun and Pressed onto Torque Converter, and they said it was like that when they found it. Is that plausible? It shifted like a song, even as I drove it in. 75K miles. Just wondering if I should be fighting on this. BTW...the tranny they just installed is now leaking.

Quote you ">Took it to VW dealer to replace.<"
*Note: Site has a trans specialist I hope will be by soon but will suggest you take it back as a fairly new (as things go) car that you took to a dealer for them.

USED! OMG, at a dealer! It now leaks something else is no surprise but is on them the used part is/was under short term warranty (hopefully) is usual still isn't the point.
** It's NOT this site's job to decide right or wrong moves or declare anything as proof of anything - WE are NOT there in person OR have the history of this scene at all.

Do wait for others to chime in or say we don't fight with work that's out of our hands totally,

T

This jetta is a Front wheel drive, no rear seal, was it maybe leaking out of the bellhousing? How bad was the leak? Gary
