2001 Mazda 626 V6. 2.5l 68,000 miles Transmission (Gf4ael) Hi - 2001 626, v6, auto Transmission Experiencing a delay shift from 2nd to 3rd. It used to be intermitent (when cold). Now it seems to occur more frequently. Changed fluid & filter, but did not make a difference. Old fluid did not look burnt or discolored. I did have the computer scanned and no codes came up. Was wanting to know if the OBD II scan would have picked up transmission fault codes on th 01 v6? Also, anyone else experience a delay shift on the 2 to 3 upshift? And if so, were you able to fix or just live with it. Thanks

From what you've posted, this sounds like an internal problem. You've pretty much already done all the basic things you can try and it hasn't helped. With comp codes. The only time a trans code is going to set is if there is an electrical problem. Mechanical problems won't set a code unless it is affecting the reading/operation of sensor, solenoid or actuator. It takes a high end scanner to access the TCM (trans module) of a vehicle but most will usually (but not always) set a P0700 (genric trans code) in the PCM if something is going on in the TCM.
