Transmission problem

I have a 1997 GrandMarquis and the trans seems to be jerking into gear especially at lower speeds, not shifting as smoothly as it should. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

hey there is some stuff that would help you out if you arent a DIYer its called Lucas transmission (something but make sure it is for transmission) it helps alot with hard shifting.and if you wanted to change transmission fluid get some stuff called TransX you pour it in and run for a couple hundred i think miles and change the transmission fluid that will help alot. But the Lucas cost about 12$It is a quick fix...
