I have a 1995 ford e-150 van with a 302 fuel injected. When driving down the road it shifts out of 1st to 2nd gear it chugs and tries to die .But if you floor it it straitens out until it shifts up.then it does it again. Any help would be helpful bout at wits end.

Not quite sure how "E" series hooks up trans linkage at THROTTLE body for either kick down or prolonging upshift but others use a clip that can fail at throttle body so it upshifts too quick for the engine if loose or broken there. Does that sound like what's happening? It's a concert of how well engine is running and what gear it should be in so both are factors. I'd take a look (I know it's a pill to take out doghouse) to see if both the throttle and trans cable are at least looking proper at the throttle body for now. Both are black cables - with van you may see them move by yourself with doghouse off - engine off and just inspect action from gas pedal, T
