I'm having electrical issues with my 2009 pontiac wave G3. The car is still under warranty and is in the shop right now. The car currently has 39,000k
The problem started by the A/C light coming on when the car was turned on. The dealer replaced the A/C knob which did not fix problem. Dealer did a diagnostic test and found out that there was an electrical problem. When the car is off there is 6 volts of power going to the sunroof which should not. The dealer suggested replacing the fuse box. The fuse box was replaced and still problem not solved. The dealer now suggests the odo meter and cluster to be replaced. The guys at the shop said that they never had to fix something like this they need to follow instructions from gm customer support. can someone please guide me in the right direction what i should be looking out for

Re: electrical issue Sign In

Since this is under warranty, GM or an independent warranty company is paying for it. The tech can't keep swapping parts because eventually corporate is going to come down and ask what is going on. The tech can call factory support and get advice, but half the time they don't have a clue either because they aren't there to run the tests themselves. Really the only thing that you can do is wait to see if they can resolve the problem. I am sure the tech is pulling his/her hair out.

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

The problem is the blower motor for the ac mechanic solved the electrical issue. Car still in shop pending on parts.
