lable on my differential ,whats it mean Sign In

YDD 24384 A YELLOW LABEL ON THE DIFFERENTIAL ,does it mean its a conventional rear end

sorry about that ,its on my 2003 Nissan 4 wheel drive Pathfinder LE AT/V6

Again, what is this? If you want to know if just limited slip or conventional just hoist rear wheels and spin them. If both go the same when turning one by hand it's limited slip. If other goes opposite it's conventional. #s tagged are important for parts,

What is it you are trying to do or just curious? Since they bothered to mark it suggests more than one type or ratio was used on the same vehicle that probably shares components with Nissan pickup trucks also.


That # would be very useful if replacing whole unit or possibly even grease seals if needed. It's a total PITA if you want to change what is there for something that doesn't match. Speedometer would read wrong if not correct ratio never mind not matching other 4X4 ratios would be a nightmare,

I just put that # in a search engine and came up that it should be LSD (limited slip differential) with those #s - that's all I can find.


Copy of what it showed was a vehicle for sale...........The black dot indicated LSD rear end, TLSD (Limited slip differential)
