Sounds more like you need a clutch to me. Being a 2002 it is probably a hydraulic system and not a clutch cable. Jeff

We weren't even discussing the engine lisaroy1 !! You can be removed - no problem! _________________________________________________ Re: The Peugeot - If a cable for the clutch it isn't just tightened but set for a certain amount of freeplay at the top of clutch pedal travel. It must have perhaps 1-2 inches as with accelerating or other loads little to no freeplay can cause it to slip and doesn't take long to take out a new clutch if that happens. Make sure that's right but not so much that clutch doesn't disengage properly for shifting or just sitting still, T
