What is the transmission fluid level and condition? If the fluid is dark and smells burnt, good bet it is coming apart. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

He also needs to know if your reverse is working properly or is slipping like your forward gears. Do you mean the fluid was clean or the fluid was actually clear?

Ok, if this has good reverse and slips going foward, that tells me that your 1-2 band is broken. This transmission also has an input or foward clutch, but the foward clutch is not the problem because not only is this clutch on in foward, its also applied in reverse. So being that you have good reverse, that gets ruled out. More than likely you have a problem with the 1-2 band which is common on these units. Gary
