transmission leak!!!!!

I have a 2000 mercury sable dohc3.0 with 120000 miles on it...the transmission has leaked since i got the car about a month ago. The leak appeared to be coming from the transaxle seal on the passenger side so i replaced it but it has not stopped the leak. Another individual looked at it and said it looks like it is leaking onto the cv axle and flinging the fluid everywhere which i noticed is true. The transmission seems to be fine as long as there is fluid in it but only when i accelerate slow. Any ideas?

You may want to change you user name and can. This is open web so anyone in the world can see that. Leak: Clean things off and try to isolate exactly where as if spraying around the source can be hard to find. If trans isn't behaving or slipping now it has probably been driven too much and too low once or more too many times so expect trouble there from what I see in your post, T
