transmission problems Sign In

My 2002 isuzu rodeo is leaking transmission fluid and causing it to slip in low gear what exactly is wrong with it and how much is it to repair

How much? Anything up to total overhaul as it's slipping trashing itself now. Where is it leaking? By the time an auto trans slips now known due to low fluid from neglected leak it probably will kill it. How fast between needing fluid have you let this go? Bet if on the slow side fluid is dark and pan full of junk now,

I agree with Tom. You should find the leak source, repair the leak, make sure the transmission is filled to the correct level, and then see what happens.

If you don't know how to find or repair leaks, you should take it to your mechanic where they can give you an estimate.
