1970 LEMANS ALTERNATOR INSTALL

1970 Pontiac Lemans, 350.
I'm replacing the alternator and the right side install bolt (looking at the engine) won't come out due to hitting the power steering pulley; see a small mounting bracket but can't move that because that hit's PS pulley too; any trick so I don't have to loosen up the steering pulley?

Ya - was long ago now. I think you can loosen whole PS bracket thru holes in the pulley to it to get it out of the way.
This vintage of stuff do pay attention to tensioning belts in order when finished as if w A/C especially one item may drive another not from the crank pulley directly.
Alternator. Make sure a replacement is "clocked" in proper position FIRST! Meaning wiring is in same position as the old one. This usually voids warranty unless the place you acquired it does it if it needs to be changed. Many did - easy if you know how and will ruin it if you mess up and run it,
