Radiator Flush Advice Sign In

Hi, 96 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4X4 92K. I would like to flush the radiator. I've done this myself on this vehicle before and I'm hesitant to do it again for several reasons; A) the draincock is in a bad place and the draining fluid hits the suspension and splatters everywhere. B) Close to half of the fluid remains in the vehicle (in heater core and cooling jackets). C) most of the brownish gunk that I want to remove seems to just stay put where it is. In the past I've emptied the radiator, filled with "flush cleaning blend," ran the car repeated etc... Today I just want to go to a place that will flush it for me, however I don't want to pay a mechanic to do the crappy job that I would do myself. Is there a technique or a service where they plug a "machine" into the vehicle and run coolant hoses through the system with the car running for a while like they do with A/C? thanks

Sure, there are machines that push coolant through and flush pretty thoroughly. There are also some machines out there that use vacuum and claim to get most of the coolant out but they do almost nothing for flushing.
