Hey, everyone. First, lemme' say that I've had a blast reading through the posts on here, some really great ideas and info going around. Great job with everything. Anyway, I own: 2005 Acura RL, Base 6 Cylinder 3.5L - 180,000 miles. Needless to say, I drive the crap out of this car. Recently though, I've come to find that the catalytic converter is shot (brought it to a dealer [MISTAKE]). I want to replace it myself without spending an obscene amount of money. Any advice?

Take it to the local exhaust specialty shop and see if they can install an aftermarket converter. This is not something to do yourself. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
