Shock Absorbers Sign In

I have a Nissan Versa 2007, great on gas but overall driving tends to make the driver feel every single bump amplified.

Can anyone recommend some good shock absorbers to replace the factory ones?

Also, steering is pulling to left. I was thinking of rotating tires first. (front left to rt rear, etc...) im not expecting that to totally correct problem, I know Im gonna have to bring it in to be aligned.
Any tips here?????????????

Thanks

This would be "struts" in the front at least and would go for quality as you are already unhappy with the ride. Check or have checked tires for tell-tale wear, springs for uniform height along with overall integrity of suspension parts.

Wait for alignment if you can do this all at once as that would be the finish after any new parts and get you the best possible for the long run. I do (can argue that or some tires will not allow it) cross rotating wheels and tires on a schedule for the most even wear and useful life. Same type all around really helps and quality with those too.

For the shock absorbing action you can just jounce the vehicle up and down and it should just return to full height without more motion AND no oil evidence on the shock/strut cartridges them selves.

If you care do go for quality products as near always pay you back,

Re: Shock Absorbers Sign In

Due to fact that many tires today are directional rotation and some vehicles have different size front and rear size's most tire mfg now do not recommend criss cross rotation. See if your car mfg offers a choice of spring rates , a lighter spring rate coupled with a increased dampening shock will give you the ride you want . BTW do you have the towing package ? If so that would explain the choppy ride.

So true RT about direction of rotation. The channeling of water or other factors are in tires and I find them marked or just plain see the tread isn't a design for cross rotating so don't and wont. Have to know and and go with what you are dealing with. Lots of thought goes into how vehicles and tires should cooperate with road surface for sure,
