I've got a 97 Accord v6 and I would like to take off my EGR valve off to clean it and replace the gasket, but one of the nuts holding it in is stripped. I'm not sure when it became that way but I was looking for suggestions on removing it without shearing it off of the bolt. I can't get a wrench around it, and an impact wrench won't fit in the space. Someone suggested a nut cracker, but I've never seen one, and I'm skeptical to whether it will fit in the space. Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions. This youtube video illustrates the area I'm talking about. Link deleted.....not allowed

Your only hope now is to use a 6 point swivel socket with an extension as you should have in the first place which would have prevented the damage. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
