(SOLVED)Fuse Box at home repair

I've recently got a hand me down 93 Toyota Celica. One of the fuses in the box has burnt up - the fuse itself is still in working condition, but the plastic holding it in place has melted and now the fuse is jumping around. We cannot find the part online, is there anything I can do to repair this at home? I suggested duct tape, 3d pens, etc. There is no threat of it melting again.

If the fuse receptacle has overheated it's just never going to hold a fuse. The right way to fix this is with another fuse box, whether it's new or used. The biggest headache is that these wires don't separate easily on these older models. I think the easiest way to resolve this now is to buy a universal inline fuse and locate the 2 wires on the back of the fuse box, cut them and run them through external fuse. The problem will be that many of these fuse boxes use a single buss bar for the input power. You can't totally remove that so you'll have to tap into it somehow without taking power away from the other fuses. If you check youtube you might find some repair instructions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

We went to the Toyota dealership who looked up our car's VIN number and unfortunately they do not make that part anymore for my kind of car, because it's too old. We've also visited various junkyards near me and cannot find the part for it. I believe the universal inline fuse may be what we end up doing, turns out they sell those near me. I had no idea those even existed! Thanks for the help :)

The fact that this melted means it's a high current circuit so you need to solder the connection very solidly ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

What circuit/load is the fuse for? Sometimes fuses blow or things melt because a load starts to short out and draws too many amps. You may want to check the current draw on that circuit and make sure there is something else going on
