Hi everyone, I own an original 1935 chevy suburban that is still in great condition and still runs. For those of you that don't know, this was the first year the suburban was sold to the public and there are only 4 known in the whole world that are still in running condition. Since this vehicle is so rare we are having a hard time pricing it. So i was wondering if anyone had any insight as to what this suburban might be worth or who i could contact to find out.

My first thought would be to check with a Chevy club or go hemmings.

If you feel this has a very high value and might do your homework. Barrett-Jackson in Arizona. Just Googled them and now have four locations. Check out their site............. http://www.barrett-jackson.com/ Good luck, Tom

Thanks for the help but i am not sure of the value of the car, that is why i am trying to find someone that knows enough about them. There are only 4 left in the world under working condition (one of them is mine) and so it is very hard to find any info on them at all.

IDK. I collect antiques in general. Just looked at a plain brick upholstered by hand with the date 1800 was common as a door stop and in great shape. Was found in attic of house built in 1812. No faking this thing it's real. What's it worth?? It's worth what a willing buyer and seller agree on and odd stuff just not have a known book value for anything I've ever known, cars or otherwise. Bonnie and Clyde's stolen car (don't even know what it was) still changes hands as is, full of bullet holes and folks have paid a fortune for it. If something is rare enough I suggest a place as already mentioned above. They do bazillions in sales - no small deal but it is an auction and you can set a minimum and they'll get a HUGE commission but attract the gazillionaire buyers. Got a dude near me who collects cars by the hundreds and a crew to tend to them! Another collects boats. Own the one and only "Miss Packard" mostly all custom build but with a WWII new engine meant for a tank! Yikes - saw the thing and sold him one car out of my own collection (small beans but fun) and the thing could be worth millions! Dude had a 1/2 million buck garage just for it made custom! These folks are out there. Just don't know and you'd know better by overall condition now to make a guess. Buy a Hemmings Motor News and see what folks are asking for rare stuff. Do some homework and make a guess. I'd market it at auction or Hemmings if not just junk. You'll know from responses what the interest is in the thing. Some may want to make some kind of hot rod out of it?? You should care less what happens when it goes for parts or who knows? I know this: The market for things is AFUed now and probably will be. Prices of neat old stuff is down right now along with a lot of things. Just look at current Wall Street stuff (stocks and bonds) and prices for commodities are up but will they stay? Face it, ,most of the world doesn't know what to invest in, reflected in prices of things in general. With cars if under like 7 years old you can get some accuracy. Old and odd ball is chance. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt when times were more stable, Tom PS: Want an early 1800's wood stove heated curling iron for hair? Have a few things that predate the first 13 colonies and still don't know the value. Nuff said...........

Are you sure that there are only 4 of these? Counting yours, I found 3 of them pretty easily. That usually means there are many more to be found. http://www.stovebolt.com/...biotti_sam_1935.html http://streetrodder.automotive.com/...-suburban/index.html ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thanks for all of your reponses. I appreciate the help. Mine is only one of four in the world that is original, those that you guys found were altered or completely rebuilt. The only difference with mine is the paint which is expected since paint doesn't last forever. The engine and frame and everything is original. It was evaluated by the Chevy Museum back in the late 60's and they offered $20,000 cash right there and still get phone calls about it from them. That is why i was hoping someone knew something about them to give me a better idea of what it is worth. If anyone comes up with any more info please share otherwise i am going to continue with my research. Once again, thanks for all the help from everyone.

Long shot but GM may know how many they made and released to the public? For ages car makers made cars and just squished them and didn't put them out for sale, T
