Smartest machine I've ever seen and I've owned it for 40 years!! Model M was only made for 1948 and 1949 but the engineering stayed for many other models for years. I marvel at some of the smarts that went into that tractor. Disc brakes!! (the car companies were decades behind), an updraft carb and fuel tank over it so no fuel pump needed. A very tall radiator that does use a belt driven fan but needs no water pump - works on convection only!! Adjustable seat and tele steering wheel. No air filter either - air must go bubbling thru an oil bath that can be changed. Water in the fuel - no problem - has a glass bowl so you can see it and dump out the water and a drain on its carb too. Overhead valve two cylinder engine that won't win a race but can knock over a building! I am kind of a John Deere nut. Just impressed that they made things like this for farming when auto companies seemed behind vs a silly tractor. Actually they were serious biz now and then! Just fun - T
