RT or Retired is one of the mods that is really good with old stuff. He seems to be really interested in old tools.

Re: Nivex car Battery charger Sign In

They sell those battery chargers new for US$21 so it isn't worth a ton. I own at least four of them.

Yes friend - I still own a 6v motor vehicle! RT (re-tired) will be by when he can. DS (Descretesignals) - we do abbreviate our user names at least between ourselves and it does get out there.

Not real sure getting old is worth it!

Thanks for the plug DS . I missed this one , been in/out of the VA horse-pital having some tests run. Your correct TOM , its common in UK also . The Nivex co. makes auto gauges as well.

I don't have the part # handy buy by Shumacher (sp?) there are dual volt "floating" chargers on my WAY 2 MANY vehicles and machines and dang batteries are lasting forever. Shoot me if wrong RT but don't we think charged batteries will last longer? They are for me??

Re: Nivex car Battery charger Sign In

Keeping the voltage higher does keep them from sulfating and so it does help a lot. Can always tell with seasonal items like motorcycles and quads when the owners use them. Those that don't seem to buy new batteries every year.

I thought you just wanted an equivalent charger, not the exact same one.
