Stoddard Dayton Carburetor Value Sign In

Hi

I have this old brass carburetor from a Stoddard Dayton car. The only thing on it is a #4. Can anyone tell me what year and model car it would fit on and what the possible value might be.

Thanks
Henry

Oh my! Pricey cars whole about only found that folks had to make their own parts for them so critical to know which of several unique engines it would be an exact fit for.
I didn't find with a quick search what parts were fetching nor if the (#4) was the identifying info needed. Here's a link to once the largest known "Magazine" for parts and services for about anything that moved whole or parts might lead to some pricing?
If your carb is whole and think it's functional so much the better alone by that # didn't find a one for sale to compare for a clue of value I'll let you continue the search so here's a good place to begin.............

Good luck you may be surprised either way worth a fortune or a very cool "Object D'Art" all by itself?

Re: Stoddard Dayton Carburetor Value Sign In

You wanted a valuation which I can't do. If it was the only part missing and I owned one it fit perfectly otherwise perfect whole car we could go into a bidding contest over the thing.
Contact that carbking person and see if you can find any leads on where to advertise it. Pics of the #s or a short video showing it's condition and that parts move and list it for sale see what bids come in. Start high and say "make an offer" on sites that must have a price.
Approach in reverse and go looking for one as if you needed this thing see what you find.
Carb makers and rebuilders of antique carbs are probably (in fact sure they are) out there might just want one for stock ready to go it may not be right now?
The problem I found is specs for these cars seem to be missing. Just know there were 100s of car makers that went unheard of and many totally failed so you need to find anyone who knows the cars at least.

Prices are always what willing buyers will pay a willing seller so getting the two together is the challenge,
