v.i.n number location Sign In

i have a 1953 ford f-350 i am trying to figure out where the vin number is on this old truck, any help is appreciated

Wish I knew (someone will here) when they standardized putting them all visible thru the windshield. I recall some were on an aluminum plate riveted to driver's door jam, some on firewall, perhaps even on radiator supports - either painted over or not. If car was fixed along all these years normally one would remove it and re-install it as needed for body work. Again not certain what years but some cars stitched them under seats on basically paper also, inside door jams etc. If you go back far enough they didn't freak about putting that everywhere like later vehicles,

i have herd of em putting em up on the fire wall or on the frame think i have herd of some on the engine block but im just not sure where to look hopfully someone here had a runin with one of theese old trucks before and could give me something more to go on... hopefully it still exists, i need it to get a title if not i may need to figure on a new route to get it titled maybe a reconstructed title or something like that...

My friend bought one last year of the same year and its in the driver's door jamb just above the rocker panel.

found vin # on crossmember on passenger side under rad support. also found out they used to put a tag on the inside of the glovebox door but that one is long gone

I'm glad in more recent times they've all put it in one spot. Thanks for posting back with that info.

im glad they did that too. it seems like from what ive seen back then they put em several diffrnt places depending on how the guy with the stamp and hammer felt that day. it wasn't until like 1980 they standardized the 17 digit and location

they actually put in some different positions.... so u have to search for it.....
