Okay, so I was asked about the difference between "conventional" transmission fluid and full synthetic. Though my honest opinion is there is only minute difference anymore when it comes to newer vehicles 2000 or newer, but I felt it worth researching the improvements of one versus the other. So far the answers I have been able to find is generally vague and generic. Which has been higher thermal breakdown temprature running cooler and smoother shifting plus better cleaning properties. These are expected answers as its sorta the go to for anything synthetic, but there being such a stringent requirement of how the fluid itself should function. Is there any real benefit of paying the extra dollar for the synthetic? I imagine like on type f or the older dexron then maybe, but what about on, for example, an 02 dodge intrepid which requires atf+3 or now atf+4. I'm asking in general but for someone who wants to give detailed explanation there would be an example. If I have missed a previous post about this please put it in here so maybe it will help other find it as well as my self. Thanks

Site is marked "Sponsored by Amsoil" TMK still is.
Grading oils is done and listed on the containers which rating they meet or exceed is as far as you'll probably get.

It's all I'll use am sure it is much more heat tolerant if nothing else. Additives are an unknown to me how long they really last.
Almost any will say still stick to the schedule for changes as stated in "Owner/Operator's Manuals" for what you are using any oils and fluids for.
Ask 100 places you'll get that many opinions,

If you're looking for chemical explanations you probably should contact the manufacturers or these products.

Yeah, kinda figured as much on this topic. Never used amsoil products mostly because the price seemed unnecessary to the benefit, but I'll probably get around to it as I am developing a yard full of Guinea pigs. Probably going to call some places and see what they use versus the others to get an idea of the what and how they work.
