saw an ad in Indycar mag for Sledgehammer which is supposed to imrpove fuel economy .... they also have some oil additive products that are supposed to improve gas mileage etc. has anyone tried any of these? do they really work? http://www.run-ritestore.com/Detail.bok?no=1 thanks for any info .... it looks pretty good but still a little hesitant ...

I don't know of any magic in a bottle for fuel economy. I do think sythetic oils like the Amsoil sold here gives you some help. Best thing for helping MPGs is your driving habits. Next would be tire pressure. Keep them where they belong! Saw a show once on TV that checked the tire pressure in a busy store's parking lot that claimed only one in twenty were right! That's appaulingly irresponsible for a car owner!! It's not good for the tires, handling of the vehicle or anything. Gotta say it: It's time for all of us to start carpools when possible, combine all your errands and we will win. There is a real problem with supply mostly the port of New Orleans and the rigs that got wrecked and the whole world is paying the price. T
