02 Dodge Intrepid overheating

Radiator was just replaced, it still overheats.
Heater blows hot so I don't think it is the thermostat not opening up.
There isn't any water in my oil, so the water pump seal is still good.
The car is running smoothly so I don't doesn't appear that the timing has jumped.
Not sure if the catalytic converter is plugged, but the car has power.
Not sure if the TPS or wiring is bad.
Don't know if the Temperature control valve would cause overheating if it was going bad.

Where did you get all this nonsense?
You've been listening to too many idiots. Pretty much none of that is factual.
Does it overheat more in slow traffic/idle situations or at cruising speed?
Are you losing any coolant over time?
Have you pressure tested the cooling system.
What is the condition of the coolant? ie: rust, sludge, etc

Really..........................Apparently you know NOTHING about a Dodge Intrepid. The water pump is run off of the timing gear and not the drive belt. And if your heater doesn't get hot, your thermostat is NOT opening up. The RADIATOR is new, so that means that any sane person with any automotive knowledge would FLUSH the motor and system of any contaminates. Why in sam hell would anyone KEEP rusted or sludged coolant to put back in a car after changing the radiator. When a car overheats, it overheats whether sitting in traffic or on the highway. And if a car is overheating, YES it is loosing coolant and rather quickly and not over time as the coolant gets pushed out the overflow.
And when the water pump goes bad on an Intrepid, the first thing it does is leak water into the crank case, thus getting WATER into the OIL, but the water pump is still working.
If I had any idea on why it was still overheating, I would not have posted on this forum. Read up on the Dodge Intrepid and then get back to me.

Lizard13: Just who did you say knows nothing about this or any car? Who's the idiot now? If YOU know so much why are you here? Just where did you get the idea about the heater and thermostat not opening up? Wrong!
You guessed this was flushed and depending on type of debris some just won't flush out.
This and most engines made with dissimilar metals can't take overheating worth a damn. You've allowed it to get so hot it blowing coolant out "quickly" - sport you have more problems now than whatever caused any overheating in the first place.
HT can speak for himself and bet he will. Hang on to your boot straps with your comment of what he knows!

Even in May, Christmas card list has no names on it. Was hoping we might get one this year.
Hope DJ Hughes can offer him the insight he needs, since we are all idiots here apparently.

Sounds like your thermostatical actuated control valve modulator is bad. Change it asap.
