Hi, My specs: 2000 Mazda Protege LX 1.6L 156K miles. I want to buy rotors and inner tie rod ends from RockAuto. I was thinking about buying Raybestos professional grade rotors, but I started to think that was overkill. For the tie rod ends, I was thinking about either Moog or Raybestos, but wasn't sure which one would be best for my scenario or whether those were overkill as well. I drive about 40 miles every weekday. Most weekends I stay close to home, but I may travel far sometimes. What would you recommend? Thanks

Your car has 156K on it. Just about anything you install will outlast the car. The rotor brand isn't important but Moog is far superior to the Chinese steering parts. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

So you're saying it's more important to get a high quality tie rod than a high quality motor?

If you meant to say rotor not motor, then yes, that is what I'm saying. Cheap rotors usually aren't a problem but cheap steering components will wear out in no time.

I second Moog also, even though they gone China, India, and Taiwan too. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
