So.., if you give it gas it will just rev up and wont move? Try all the gears selections and see if the same thing happens. -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!

Yes I cranks up the engine gets going when I hitt the gas, but no movement in any gears. I was thinking timing belt, but that doesn't have anything to do with the movement of the vehicle in this model I'm thinking something in my engine?

If the engine cranks up, revs up and the car dosen't move, i'd be looking at the clutch.

Did somebody say it was a stick? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

The engine starts and revs up. It's in the tranny. Check the ATF fluid level. -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!

By the way he makes it sounds, it sounds like it's a automatic. And who would buy a mitsubishi in 2000 that isn't an automatic..haha -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!

Also while your checking your transmission fluid, inspect the CV axles. If you break an axle, the vehicle won't move. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
