Sign In I see you can purchase the whole wheel bearing assembly and just fit it in. But when I asked my mechanic he says he has to get the bearing pressed in and requires more labour? Isn't it cheaper now a days to get the whole wheel bearing assembly as a whole? or am I missing something? I cannot find anything on the internet. Sign In On some vehicles , the wheel bearing is not a complete assembly Those have to be pressed into the Steering Knuckle They can be pressed in without removing the knuckle if the mechanic has the proper tool If not he can remove the knuckle and have it pressed.
