the best way to size an intermediate shaft is with a tape measure. If you can measure it using the metric system, you'll get a more accurate reading. Once you know the size of the shaft then you can see if it is long enough to fit into your well. You may have to go down into your well, so you might want to wear floaties so you don't drown when you get to the bottom. You don't want your shaft to be too long or it will stick out the top of your well. You don't want someone accidently poking their eye out when they look down the well. Ok...now it is making sense. Your looking for the intermediate steering shaft. There is a company called Dorman that sells that shaft. you can get it from a parts place called Rock Auto for $67.69 plus shipping. You also might be able to find one at a salvage yard. The shafts are the same from: 2005 to 2009 Cobalt 2007-2009 Pontiac G5 2003-2007 Saturn ION Is he wanting it replaced because it is making noise? Just curious, but why do you think he would sell the bike for less if you buy the shaft? He might sell it for the same price and give you the shaft.... Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
