I just leased a 2017 Ford Escape... within 3500 miles and 3 months with the vehicle, I have had to bring it into servicing 3 times for 4 different issues. The ceiling upholstery did not have enough adhesive and was making a noise) The entire ceiling had to end up being replaced. There is rattling in the passenger side door Service light 1 - The solenoid valve fail Service light 2- The charcoal canister had to be replaced. It has been a never ending trip back to the dealership. Do these sound like common issues a new vehicle should have? I think I may need to start worrying. Thank you for the help

No that's not normal for a new car at all. Take it back and complain - what happened to it? T

I would wonder why it had 3500 miles on it. Who brought it back and why? Maybe i misunderstood what you are saying. Yes - upon re-read what is the deal here? Did this car somehow sustain flood problems new and wasn't scraped? Hard to find that out if there's an info trail on where it's been new for a year as it's late for a new 2017 depending. Read door jam for month it was made might even be 2016 and been around. Other reasons but some of this stuff with low miles just doesn't add up and it might have been damaged before ever sold or who knows? That does happen and new cars are supposed to be scraped not sold as a new car even to a dealer then you lease or not, T

Thanks for the replies and the insight. The help is appreciated. It doesn't add up to me either. The car was leased and to the best of my knowledge it was new with no incidences with that vehicle. I was also informed by the dealership that these are common issues, which is just bizarre to me that they would say that....especially for a new vehicle. I think they are just saying that to try to undermine the issues. It has been one issue after another with this car and I fear that I got a lemon here. It is confusing to me.

OK - Common issues or whatever it's still surprises me those known issues aren't dealt with before the car/vehicles are sold or leased where the deal is a written mess to understand yet you are responsible for the terms in the fine print which no doubt varies wildly. I can't know details on place by place current lemon laws and am from a lemon law state doesn't seem to work very fast or well for only a couple that took a year to settle were not leases. IDK - go up the food chain and find out what your rights are to make this right for you. At some point there must be some responsibility that you are paying for a thing of any type with reasonable expectations to use it and a limit to how many times you can have "down" time under warranty before you can back out or make some new deal. Arggh. Read papers or perhaps ask your insurance for help in what to do for your exact place, deal and location just where you stand with this, T

I think you should pull a Carfax on it and find out the history. You never know.
