Long story but I definitely got water into the windshield defrost vents. Unsure of how much. This happened last night. I havent turned on the car in hopes that the desert heat here in texas will evaporate some, more preferably all of the water. I know that is optomistic but any bit helps I guess. I dont know exactly what is down those vents that could be effected by the water. Hoping someone could shed some light on the possible problems I might be facing. THanks a lot. -1992 -Honda -Prelude H23 -2.3 Liter -150k kilometers

Did it rain that night? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Yes. I had it covered with a tarp but the wind was blowing hard. It moved just enough that water could have and I'm sure did get in to the vents. THey were exposed because I had to get my windshield replaced but discovered rust where the windshield bonds to the car. Had to deal with the rust but it was too late to take to a body shop. I never rains here but the one night I needed it not to rain, it rained.

Arggh! Duct work should be fine and 100% dry out but other dash items if involved could be trouble. If all clear now and just windshield still off does everything work? Foggy lenses, other items all working? T

I have been waiting to turn it on because of the electrical stuff in the dash. Wanted to give it a chance to dry before trying all that out. But I will let you know

Might want to drop the blower motor out and get a fan blowing through the ducting and under the dash. Dry it out real good before you try starting it and hope for the best.
